The ControlsHow to Play
- Walk with WASD, or drag anywhere on the stage. On a phone, the stick is bottom-left.
- E picks up a core and seats it. Q puts one down. On a phone, take and drop.
- Space jumps. Hold shift to move faster — though not while you are carrying.
- A module needs two cores. Four lit modules and the base is yours.
The IdeaAbout
Alien Moon Base runs on AEON3D, an engine written from nothing for this estate: WebGL2, no third-party code, no plugins, no install. What you are looking at is a real 3D world with a skinned character in it, streamed to a phone in about two and a half megabytes. The rules are small enough to hold in your head. Eight power cores are scattered across the base. Four module sockets need two each. Carry a core to a socket and seat it, and that module lights — and the whole base gets a little brighter, because the light level IS your progress. Three striders patrol the dark. They cannot see far, but they can see, and a core is heavy enough that running is not really running.
